Mrs. Ruby Barrett Austin
February 28, 1938 - June 24, 2008
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby Barrett Austin, 70, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Friday, June 27, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Tante Funeral Home, Buena Vista, GA with Rev. A.R. Curlee officiating. Interment will be in County Line Cemetery in Marion County, GA with Jimmie Walker, Edward Cornwall, Jeremy Brunson, David Lane, Michael Austin, and Jimmy (Bubba) Culpepper serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Austin was born February 28, 1938 in Marion County the daughter of the now late Charlie Ree Scott and William Dewey Berrett. She lived in Bainbridge since 1964 and worked for Amoco Fabrics until her retirement. Mrs. Austin was of the Baptist faith. She passed away at her residence Wednesday, June 24, 2008 with her children by her side.
She is survived by one son, Benny (wife Sue) Austin of Bainbridge, GA; three daughters, Barbara (husband Derrick) Walker of Bainbridge, GA, Angel (husband Jason) Watson of Cottonwood, AL, and Brenda (husband Marty) Brunson of Ashford, AL; one brother, D.C. Barrett of Buena Vista, GA; sisters, Reba Lane, Freddie Mae Culpepper, and Faye Lane all of Buena Vista, GA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Ree and William Dewey Barrett, husband, Howard "Bob" Austin, son James Howard Austin, brothers, James Barrett, Homer Barrett, Marvin Barrett, and William Barrett.
