She started a quilting group at Eastside and the senior adult ministry, Keenagers. Betty was an excellent cook. She was always ready to prepare for anyone, whatever the need, and whatever the number of hungry people. Betty was a member of the Pilot Club of Cairo. She was an accomplished seamstress. It could be Easter dresses for her girls or costumes for any church activity. Maybe it was making puppets for a church puppet ministry or providing alterations for a local clothing store, Betty was ready to sew, cook, decorate, whatever was necessary. A loving mother, wife, and nanna, Betty Jo Carter will be deeply missed by her many, many friends and the family she loved so very much. Betty Carter is survived by her husband, J. N.
