Edward Ed J. Zajac, age 60, of Tallahassee, FL passed away on February 27, 2010, in the Margaret Dozier House at Big Bend Hospice Tallahassee, Florida. He was born on February 8, 1950 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated in 1968 from Merritt Island High School and received his AA from Brevard Junior College in 1970. Later that year, he joined the U.S. Army and served as a communications technician in Germany. He graduated from Florida State University in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Ed was Vice President of Service at Monk's Office Machines for over twenty years. In 1999, he became a partner and General Manager of CopyFax2000. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, coaching little league football and baseball, boating, snow skiing, fishing, and attending his daughter's hunter jumper competitions. Visitation will be Sunday, February 28, 6 to 8 p.m. at Kingsway Christian Church, 3945 N. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Kingsway Christian Church with Brian Tease officiating. Interment will follow at Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery in Shellman, Georgia, 2:30 p.m. The pallbearers will be Wes Greenwald, Ben Kaplin, Walton Monk, Mark Morin, Ricky Rash, and Doug Walker. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Natalie Mason Zajac and his daughter, Mollie Zajac of Tallahassee; his son, Mason Frascona and daughter-in-law, Mary of Quincy, Florida; two sisters, Melissa Zajac of Tallahassee and Kim Wright of Iowa City, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward John and Elizabeth Gardner Zajac, sister, Donna Worthy and special brother, Dickie Brinson.
