Funeral services for Mrs. Laurine Justice Miller, 88, of Bainbridge, GA will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dewitt Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Blakely Cemetery with Jerry Carter, Fred Black, Walter Landrum, Larry Funderburke, Donnie Cleveland, and Dennis Mock serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Cox-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born June 24, 1920 in Houston County, AL to the now late Oliver and Nora Avery Justice. She was married to the now late R. C. Miller Jr. Mrs. Miller was a crossing guard at West Bainbridge Elementary School for a number of years and worked at the Dianna Shop for 24 years. She was a member of West Bainbridge United Methodist Church and loved fishing, cooking, camping and gardening. Mrs. Miller had lived most of her life in Decatur County, GA and passed away at her residence Monday, April 13, 2009. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Southwest GA and her caregivers Ginger Walden and Bonnie Whatley. She is survived by one daughter; Mary (husband Dexter) Thomas of Bainbridge, GA, three grandchildren; Angie Cleveland, Donna Goodman, and Brian Heard; and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Julie Gordon Heard, four sisters, Bonnie McCuller, Maxine Cyr, Beck Mercer, and Tupsie Wheaton, and one grandchild, Robbie Gordon.
