Lela Kaye Kelly Howell, age 64, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home in Bainbridge, Georgia. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Climax, Georgia. The Rev. Dewitt Phillips will officiate. Rusty Jackson, Allen Gunn, Martin Castro, Justin Kelly, Justin Reynolds, and Keith Lovering will serve as pallbearers. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to wear protective masks and practice recommended social distancing. Lela Kaye Kelly Howell was born October 17, 1955 to Emmett Fate Kelly and Retha Odessa Clinton Kelly. She deeply loved each member of her large family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was "Grandma" to many, many extended family members and neighbors. She loved people and never said goodbye without reminding you of her love. Kaye Howell is survived by her children, William Howell, Jr. (Betty Jo), Shannon Howell, Darren Howell (Yolanda), and Lela Howell (Allen Gunn); siblings, Emmett Kelly, Jr., Jimmie Anderson, Calvin Kelly, Judy Vaughn, Lucia Walls, Gary Kelly, Catherine Phillips, Tammie Brock, Ronnie Kelly, and Donnie Kelly; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
