Reba Seals

Mrs. Reba Allen Seals, age 95, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her home in Coolidge, Georgia. Services for Mrs. Seals will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 15, at Big Creek Baptist Church, outside of Coolidge. The Rev. Al Wilbourn and the Rev. Charles Neely will be officiating. Interment will follow at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery, 7856 GA Highway 188, just west of Egg and Butter Road. James Reid Dees, Robert Wayne Dees, Kenneth Dees, Bruce Allen, Elwood Allen, and Gene Benton will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday evening, at Big Creek Baptist Church.

Reba Allen was born March 25, 1921, in Mitchell County, Georgia, to the late Washington Bartley Allen and Mary Ella Pollock Allen. She was married to James A. Seals. They were married 37 years before his death, January 8, 1979. Reba was a hard worker. Mrs. Seals was all about family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Reba Allen Seals will be deeply missed by her many family members and friends.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Amy Seals and Jake Tucker of Charlottesville Court House, Virginia, Mary Margaret Mann of Appomattox, Virginia, and Michele Hudson of Cairo, Georgia; grandsons, James Reid Dees, Robert Wayne Dees, Kenneth Dees, all of Coolidge, George Ray Seals of Saxe, Virginia, John Howard Seals and wife, Barbara of Drakes Branch, Virginia, Jimmy Cumbie, Scott Cumbie and wife, Heidi of Cairo, Georgia; 35 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and one great-great-great grandchildren; sister, Eunice Allen Ferullo of Deland, Florida; daughter-in-law, Kay Worley of Cairo; son-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Dees of Tampa, Florida; sister-in-law, Dollie Elizabeth Allen of Thomasville, Georgia; close friend, Brenda Myers; caregiver, Montana Cummins, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Joan Seals, and son, Fred Ray Seals, 1 great-grandchild, great-great-grandchildren, Keri Tatum Dees and Peyton Henery Dees, sisters, Vera Allen Davis, Stella Allen Anderson, Mary Allen Sadler, and Fannie Lou Rehberg, and brothers, Floyd Allen, Bura B. (Boots) Allen, W.C. (Bill) Allen, and W.B. (Dub) Allen.
