Mr. Freddie Carroll Bryant, age 66, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at his home in Cairo, Georgia. Services for Mr. Bryant will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Cairo. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery. Pastor Brian Farmer will officiate.

Freddie Carroll Bryant was born in Grady County, Georgia on October 13, 1950. His parents, Chesley Lee Bryant and Willie Dean Sculley Bryant have both preceded him in death. Freddie proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Mr. Bryant worked hard. He worked in the oil fields, was a mechanic, and was a long-distance truck driver. To relax, he loved to go fishing. Freddie Bryant married the love of his life, Bridgett Irvin Bryant. He was all about his family. He loved time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Freddie Carroll Bryant will be greatly missed by the family and friends he loved so very deeply.

Freddie Carroll is survived by his wife, Bridgett Suzanne Irvin Bryant of Cairo; children, Marla Bryant Bush (Jeremy Prince) of Cairo, Anthony Rathel, Jr. (Ruby Gaucin) of Cairo, and Eric Rathel (Pamela) of Bainbridge, Ga; brothers and sisters, Ira Bryant (Janice) of Dawson, Georgia, Kenneth Bryant of Dexter, Kansas, Mary Ellen Watson (Larry) of Cairo, Ray Bryant (Mary Alice) of Dexter, Kansas; grandchildren, Suzanne Guerra (Matthew), Blair Morris, Katie Rathel, Cierra Rathel, Summer Rathel, Dasie Rathel, Zachery Rathel, Abigail Clark, and Britany Sigley (Ryan); and great-grandchildren, McKenzie Sigley, Grace Sigley, Ryland Scott Sigley, and Braxton Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, L. Scott Rathel, and brother, Keith Bryant.
